Alexandre Cabanel (28. rujna 1823 - 23 siječanj 1889) bio je francuski slikar.

Cabanel je rođen u Montpellieru, Hérault. Slikao je povijesne, klasične i vjerske teme u akademskom stilu. On je također bio dobro poznat kao slikar portreta.

Njegova slika Rođenje Venere 1893 godine je jedan od najpoznatijih primjera iz 19. stoljeća akademskog slikarstva.Sliku je kupio car Napoleona III, a postoji i manja replika (slikana 1875 godine za bankara, Ivan Wolf-a) koja se nalazi u Metropolitan Museum of Art u New Yorku, kao poklon od Wolf-a 1893 godine.
